State Scholarships Foundation

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) was founded in 1951 with the aim to offer young scientists grants for post-graduate studies. In the framework of its activities, as a State Scholarships Agency, it plans, announces and implements every year an amplitude of scholarship programmes both in Greece and abroad. Through these programmes Greek citizens, foreigners of greek origin, people of different nationalities, pupils, students, scientists, researchers and artists receive grants in order to acquire higher diplomas in Greece or abroad and to stand out scientifically and professionally.

National Center for Social Research

The National Centre for Social Research (EKKE) is the succesor of the Centre of Social Studies (founded in 1959). EKKE is a legal public entity, with its headquarters in Athens, and is supervised by the Ministry of Development (GSRT) . It is the most significant public agency in the field of social research.

University Research Institute of Applied Communication

The University Research Institute of Applied Communication is an autonomous institution as concerns its management and financial status. The Director and its Deputy are selected by the Senate of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
