Financial, political, social, cultural crises…our societies are
threatened with fragmentation. “Grand narratives” and powerful interpretation
systems of the world and history are confusing and uncertain, leading to a
widespread sense of loss of meaning and disorientation. What are the answers
and solutions that clinical sociology and clinical social psychology can offer?
The Conference will examine issues related to the crisis at the level of
the social bond, of identity and of values, as this is revealed in the areas of
work, education, politics, emotional and sexual life, family and social
There will be a round table discussion of guest speakers for each one of the
thematic areas mentioned above, accompanied in parallel by one, two or more
Since there will be no simultaneous translation for the workshops, these
announcements will be held in French or English.
In the plenary sessions and in the round table discussions there will be only
Greek-French simultaneous translation.
The Conference participation is
€115 per person (€190 for couples)

Clinical sociology and clinical social psychology Prize
We are also pleased to announce the
first international competition for new researchers in the areas of clinical
sociology and clinical social psychology.
Three prizes will be awarded for the three best scientific papers on the
congress subject. The competition refers to doctoral students up to 35 years of
age. The candidates have to submit an original scientific paper, no more than
20 pages (in the French, English or Greek language), not later than the 1st of
September 2002. The subject of the paper has to be within the frame of one of
the six thematic areas of the congress mentioned above. The prize-winners will
be invited to the congress, to present their paper in the plenary sessions.
